CAFA successfully concluded the two-day Match Commissioners Seminar 2026 in Dushanbe, bringing together participants from all CAFA Member Associations with the shared objective of strengthening match operations and developing highly qualified Match Commissioners across Central Asia.

Led by FIFA and AFC Match Commissioner Kemel Tokabaev, together with experts from the Central Asian Football Association, the seminar combined theoretical learning with practical exercises, providing participants with valuable international knowledge and operational experience.

Over two intensive days, the programme covered a wide range of topics, including the role and responsibilities of Match Commissioners, competition regulations, pre-match preparation, match operations, media and marketing, safeguarding, stadium inspections, safety and security, FIFA Competition Management System (FCMS), match reporting, case studies, group discussions, and practical operational scenarios.

Participants also visited the Central Republican Stadium for a practical stadium inspection, allowing them to apply classroom knowledge in a real competition environment.

The seminar concluded with a series of assessments, including written examinations, English language evaluation, FCMS online testing and presentations. Candidates who successfully completed the programme will become part of the CAFA Match Commissioners Panel for the upcoming competition season.

CAFA remains committed to investing in the education and professional development of football officials, ensuring that international standards of match operations continue to grow across the Central Asian region.
