Uzbekistan emerged champions of the 2018 CAFA Women’s Championship standings after cruising past Kyrgyz Republic 10-0 at the Milliy Stadium, Tashkent on Thursday.
The win made it four out of four for Robert Gai’s team, giving them an unassailable lead at the top.
They had defeated Afghanistan (20-0), Tajikistan (11-0) and Islamic Republic of Iran (2-1) to clinch the inaugural title in perfect form.
Iran, who defeated Tajikistan 4-1 on Thursday, will be aiming to seal second spot when they play Kyrgyz Republic in their final match on Saturday.
Saturday’s other match will see Afghanistan facing Tajikistan.
