AFC President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa arrived in the Omani capital of Muscat on Sunday to attend the 2018 AFC Annual Awards night which will celebrate the stars of Asian football — both on and off the field — on Wednesday.

Oman Football Association President Salem Al Wahaibi received Shaikh Salman at the airport, with members of the Oman FA board.

Shaikh Salman expressed his happiness on arrival to Muscat, explaining that it will be the centre stage of Asian football in the next few days, and the AFC President added that Oman has all the capabilities to host such an important event.

The AFC president also explained that Muscat was chosen to host the AF Annual Awards as a reflection of Oman football’s position in Asian football and their development in recent years.
