CAFA EXTRAORDINARY CONGRESS 2022

CAFA held extraordinary congress on 15 December 2022 via ZOOM platform with the biggest pieces of business to take care of during the congress is approving nominated candidates for CAFA Judicial and Electoral bodies. The Congress held in attendance of all members of CAFA MAs, AFC representatives as well as CAFA administration.

CAFA Senior Vice President commenced the proceedings by extending his gratitude to the all CAFA member associations for their contribution to the development of the game in our region and mentioned that the year of 2022 has been remarkable for the Central region and for CAFA in particular. He stressed out that CAFA has organized a record number of 8 competitions during the year highlighting his certainty that young players will shine even brighter in the nearest future and not only at the regional level. He also stated that CAFA MAs representatives have also benefited from the educational activities conducted in 2022.

CAFA Executive Committee during its third meeting held on 3rd November 2022 had proposed to the Congress the candidates nominated by the CAFA Member Associations for elections to the CAFA Disciplinary and Ethics Committee as well as CAFA Appeal Committee. As a result of the Congress, unanimous decision was taken by the Congress members to approve CAFA Judicial Bodies. Moreover, in compliance with the Article 47.3 of the CAFA Statutes, the members of the Electoral Committee shall be recommended by the CAFA Executive Committee from the CAFA Disciplinary and Ethics Committee and/or CAFA Appeal Committee to the Congress for election. Consequently, Executive Committee at its third meeting had decided to recommend only five candidates from the mentioned Judicial Bodies to the Congress for the election of Electoral Committee members which was subsequently and unanimously approved by the Congress Members during the Extraordinary Congress.
