02 July 2025 I As part of its ongoing commitment to capacity-building and refereeing development across Central Asia, CAFA organized the 3rdedition of the CAFA Futsal Referees Webinar on Wednesday, 2 July 2025, via the Zoom platform.
This initiative is a core element of CAFA’s Refereeing Development Strategy, aimed at enhancing the technical and theoretical capabilities of futsal match officials operating at both the international (FIFA Futsal Referees) and national levels (National Category Referees).
The 2025 webinar welcomed 25 active participants from across the region, who had the opportunity to gain fresh insights, sharpen their understanding of updated futsal laws, and discuss match situations with expert guidance from prominent AFC Instructors Mr. Vadim Bararov and Mr. Nurdin Bukuev.
A key focus of the session was the amendments made in the Laws of the Game for futsal, which were carefully dissected and brought to life through real match footage and visual illustrations. Participants engaged in in discussions around these changes, highlighting their practical applications and implications during live match scenarios.
In addition to the technical explanations, the instructors shared practical tips and advice, incorporating modern refereeing concepts and fitness demands to ensure officials are equipped to handle the evolving nature of high-level futsal.
Through interactive discussions and analysis, the webinar fostered a valuable exchange of experiences among referees, contributing to their theoretical development and overall preparedness on the pitch.
