31 March 2026 I The CAFA Navruz Football Festival 2026 was successfully organized across CAFA Member Associations with the aim of promoting football, celebrating the spirit of Navruz, and bringing communities together through the beautiful game.
Held in Turkmenistan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, the festival created a joyful platform for children, young talents, coaches and volunteers to celebrate renewal, friendship and tradition through football.
In Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, the spirit of Navruz met the passion of football as young participants enjoyed the game under the bright spring sun, celebrating new beginnings, unity and unforgettable moments on the pitch.
In the Kyrgyz Republic, the festival brought together around 200 children in Bishkek, with at least 100 children involved in each region, supported by numerous volunteers. From Dostuk Arena in Bishkek to regional activities across the country, football became a shared language of friendship, joy and future.
Tajikistan hosted the festival in the beautiful city of Khujand, where more than 250 children took part in a vibrant celebration filled with smiles, energy and passion. The event highlighted the importance of youth engagement and the role of football in uniting communities.
In Kabul, Afghanistan, around 200 children, together with 30 volunteers and coaches, participated in a colorful and joyful festival atmosphere. The celebration brought together tradition and sport, creating memorable moments for young participants.
Uzbekistan organized the festival across several regions, including the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Andijan, Jizzakh and Tashkent regions. Around 450 boys and girls were involved, with activities focused on children’s football, healthy lifestyle, fair play and youth participation.
Through the CAFA Navruz Football Festival 2026, CAFA continues to strengthen grassroots football, promote cultural values, and unite the region through sport. Navruz is a time of new beginnings, and football remains a powerful platform to connect cultures, inspire children and build a stronger football family across Central Asia.
