20 May 2026 I The CAFA U20 Championship 2026 was successfully held from 12 to 19 May in Tajikistan, bringing together five CAFA member associations in a competitive youth football tournament.

The competition was played in a single round-robin format, with each team playing four matches. A total of 10 matches were held across two venues: TALCO Arena in Tursunzade and Hisor Central Stadium in Hisor.

Uzbekistan produced an outstanding campaign, winning all four matches and finishing the tournament without conceding a single goal. With a perfect record, Uzbekistan were crowned champions of the CAFA U20 Championship 2026.

The tournament once again provided an important platform for young players from the region to gain international match experience, demonstrate their talent, and continue their development toward continental and international competitions.

At the conclusion of the tournament, the following team and individual awards were presented:

• Fair Play Team: Uzbekistan
• Best Goalkeeper: Nematulloh Rustamjonov, Uzbekistan
• Top Goalscorer: Kuvonchbek Abraev, Uzbekistan – 4 goals and 1 assist
• Best Player: Azizbek Tulkunbekov, Uzbekistan

Final Standings:

• 1st Place: Uzbekistan
• 2nd Place: Kyrgyz Republic
• 3rd Place: Tajikistan
