The Central Asian Football Association successfully concluded the CAFA U20 Women’s Championship 2026, reaffirming its commitment to the development of women’s football across the region. The tournament took place from 21 to 25 July 2026 in Hisor, Tajikistan, bringing together four national teams in a competitive single round-robin format.
Over three exciting matchdays, the championship featured six matches and produced a total of 20 goals, with the region’s brightest young talents showcasing their quality, determination, and passion for the game. The tournament also served as an important preparation platform for the participating teams ahead of upcoming AFC qualification competitions and future FIFA events.
Uzbekistan were crowned champions after an impressive campaign, demonstrating consistency, attacking football, and defensive discipline throughout the tournament. The champions scored nine goals and remained unbeaten, finishing level on points with IR Iran. However, in accordance with the competition regulations, Uzbekistan secured first place on goal difference to lift the championship trophy.
IR Iran finished as runners-up after another strong tournament performance. The team displayed excellent tactical discipline, and competitive spirit, remaining unbeaten and proving once again to be among the region’s strongest women’s football nations.
The Kyrgyz Republic earned third place following a commendable campaign. Their performances reflected strong teamwork, technical ability, and composed ball possession throughout the tournament. The team scored three goals while conceding only three, highlighting a balanced display against tough opposition.
Hosts Tajikistan finished fourth but impressed with their determination, fighting spirit, and commitment in every match. The tournament provided valuable international experience for the young squad, laying a solid foundation for continued development and future success.
Following the conclusion of the championship, the official awards ceremony recognized the outstanding achievements of both teams and individual players:

- Top Goalscorer – No. 11 Shakhzoda Alikhonova (Uzbekistan) – 3 goals
