27.06.2026| The CAFA Women’s Futsal Championship 2026 has successfully concluded in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, marking the third CAFA competition of the year and the first women’s competition organized by the Central Asian Football Association in 2026.
Hosted at the Dushanbe Indoor Hall, the tournament brought together three CAFA Member Associations: I.R. Iran, Kyrgyz Republic, and the host nation Tajikistan. The competition was played in a single round-robin format, featuring three exciting matches that produced 16 goals, highlighting the speed, technical quality, and growing standard of women’s futsal across the Central Asian region.
Throughout the championship, the participating teams demonstrated outstanding commitment, determination, and passion for the game. Every match was played with great intensity as the teams competed for regional supremacy while showcasing the continued development of women’s futsal within CAFA.
Displaying their quality and experience, I.R. Iran successfully defended their status as the region’s leading women’s futsal nation by claiming the championship title in impressive fashion. The champions won both of their matches, scoring 13 goals throughout the tournament to finish with a perfect record. Their attacking football and disciplined performances once again confirmed their dominance in Central Asian women’s futsal.
The Kyrgyz Republic earned a well-deserved second place after delivering determined performances across the competition, while host nation Tajikistan proudly secured the bronze medals. Tajikistan also became the only team to score against the eventual champions, reflecting the team’s resilience and continuous progress on the regional stage.
Beyond the results, the championship served as another important milestone in CAFA’s ongoing commitment to promoting women’s football and futsal, providing valuable international competitive opportunities for players while inspiring the next generation of female athletes across Central Asia.
