The MoU, which was signed by the General Secretaries of the football organisations on 30 October 2023 in capital city of Qatar prior to AFC Annual Awards Doha 2022, outlines a number of areas of cooperation including development initiatives, competitions, experience exchange, education and others.
The signing of the MoU is a significant milestone in the relationship between the two football associations, and it is expected to have a positive impact on the development of the game in Central Asia as well as in India. Moreover the collaboration also opens up a number of creative possibilities for cooperation in years to come.

Both of our organizations share common interests and I am confident that the exchange of best practices will provide fresh impulse to take the beautiful game to even greater level» — highlighted CAFA General Secretary Mr. Ulugbek Karimov.
AIFF General Secretary Dr. Shaji Prabhakaran: “We are very confident that such cooperation will lead to the development of the game in both of our organizations. The cooperation with CAFA is a very good opportunity for our teams to compete at a higher level, the organization itself is very experienced in organizing tournaments and other exciting activities. By working together we will be able to learn from each other and share best practices.”
The signed MoU with AIFF underlines the CAFA’s commitment towards working in close partnership with the members of global football family.
