Decisions of the CAFA Executive Committee Concerning Misconduct of Afghanistan “A”, National Team — CAFA Nations Cup 2023 — Group B — Match No 1 — Kyrgyz Republic vs Afghanistan, 10 June 2023

Emergency Meeting of the CAFA Executive Committee has been convened on 11 June 2023 in which the following decisions pertaining to the incident of the CAFA Nations Cup — Group B Match No 1 between the Kyrgyz Republic and Afghanistan were

made:

• Notwithstanding the violation of article 6.5. of the CAFA Nations Cup 2023 – Competition Regulations and in order to ensure the integrity of the competition and a good image of the tournament, to allow Afghanistan to continue their participation in the CAFA Nations Cup 2023;

• Since the match was stopped by the referee before the end of normal playing time as a result of Afghanistan Team being able to only field fewer than seven (7) Participating Players, the Match shall be declared abandoned as per article 15.4. of the CAFA Nations Cup 2023 – Competition Regulations and the Kyrgyz Republic shall be declared the winner by the score 3-0;

• The behaviour of Afghanistan team Head Coach Mr. Abdullah Almutairi shall be referred to the CAFA Disciplinary and Ethics Committee for consideration and imposition of further sanctions.
