CAFA U14 Girls’ Championship 2023 recently concluded in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, with exciting matches over 5 days from 15th to 19th of October. The IR Iran team emerged victorious, winning the last match 0-2 against team of Tajikistan.
The tournament featured teams from over 4 countries of CAFA member associations. Single round Robin format of the Competition was comprised of 6 matches in total.
CAFA U14 Girls’ Championship was a resounding success, and it was a testament to the growing popularity of the sport among girls and young women. The tournament was also a celebration of the talent and skill of young female footballers from all over the Central Asia.
As a result of competition, IR Iran girls team with total of 7 points secured Champions title of the tournament. Kyrgyz Republic team with their unwavering spirit have reached second place reaching 5 points and girls’ team of Uzbekistan took third place.
Throughout the tournament, individual players stood out for their exceptional performances. Mekhrangiz KHAMIDOVA from Uzbekistan exhibited incredible talent scoring goals and earned Best Goalscorer award. Elina Shahbazi from Team IR Iran displayed her exceptional goalkeeping skills which caught the eye with their impressive performances in Championship and earned Most Valuable Player award. Fair Play award and Special Award was awarded to impressive team of Tajikistan.
The award ceremony of the CAFA U14 Girls’ Championship 2023 tournament was attended by General Secretary of Tajikistan Football Federation Mr. Furkatzhon AKHMEDZHANOV and CAFA Secretary General Mr. Ulugbek KARIMOV.
